What is APAAR ID?
APAAR (Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry) is a 12-digit lifelong
student ID under the Government of India’s One Nation, One Student ID
initiative (NEP 2020). It is linked to the Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) and DigiLocker.
For school students, APAAR ID is created by your school through the UDISE+
portal. You do not apply directly on UbiqCure.
Steps for school students
- Parent/guardian consent — submit the signed APAAR consent form to your school (required for minors).
- School verification — the school verifies your name, date of birth, Aadhaar-linked identity, and PEN (UDISE+ student ID).
- ID generation — after successful verification, the school generates your APAAR ID via UDISE+.
- DigiLocker — your virtual APAAR card appears under Issued Documents in DigiLocker.
Prerequisites (per MoE guidelines)
- Student name in school records must match Aadhaar
- PEN (UDISE+ unique student identifier) is mandatory
- Valid Aadhaar and parent/guardian details on file
If your APAAR ID is pending, ask your class teacher or school office to check status in the
UDISE+ APAAR module.
How to sign in
- Enter your 12-digit APAAR ID (preferred), or your Ubiq ID, student email, or registered phone.
- Enter the temporary password shared by your school (often your Ubiq ID on first login).
- Click Sign In to open your student dashboard.
- Change your password from Profile / Settings inside the portal after signing in.
Password change is available only after you sign in — go to
Profile / Settings in the student portal. Your school issues the initial temporary password.
Common issues
- Incorrect APAAR ID or password — confirm details with your school; check for spaces or typos.
- Account not active — your school must enroll you and activate portal access.
- APAAR not yet generated — complete school consent and verification first (see Get APAAR ID tab).
